I'm still having fun surfing the other entries and seeing what other folks have been submitting. Much creativity to be found among Gaiman fans. Surprised? Not hardly.

Social Gamers

There's no place like home

Played some World of Warcraft with my Mister and our friends this weekend. We ran some dungeons with our 60-somethings, did some daily questing with our 70's, and even spent time on our newbie alts.

Who says gamers aren't social?

Some of our guild-mates, the people we play with regularly, have known each other in "real life" since childhood. One is a friend of mine from many years ago, who now lives 2,000 miles away.

Dungeon crawls with a group at high levels in a game like WoW take a lot of coordinated teamwork and problem solving to go smoothly. We use microphones to chat with one another as we play, which is more efficient and usually more fun than only using only text chat. Now that there's a voice chat feature built into WoW, it's easier than ever to plan our next move, help each other complete quests, or discuss which movie should have won at the Oscars.

While we still use mostly text chat when we play in "pick up groups" (aka PUGs) with people we don't know, when we play with our guildies, we almost always have voice chat on.

We played a fair amount of World of Warcraft today. My Mister is nearly level 60, so he's got the bug to pull through to that milestone quickly. He's got his main character, Zwierdo, a level 70 priest, and a mid-level warlock he can easily play without me. But if I'm game for playing with him, lately we've been putting time into his hunter and my warrior.

My Honey let me sleep in again this morning. He came up and woke me after I'd been asleep for 12 hours and showed no sign of waking.

Speaking of sleep, it's almost 10 pm, and unlike my Mister I have work tomorrow. Time to log off.

Spent a bunch of time this weekend playing World of Warcraft with my Honey.

I've been playing on the laptop with my puffy foot up on the couch, and having it elevated a bunch has brought the ankle down to normal size. The rowing machine also seems to be good for it, as it gets my circulation going without having the foot lower than the rest of the leg.

Haven't done anything particularly productive over the last two days, except providing a lot of loves to the kitties.

I was really tired on Friday, so my Honey decided to let me sleep in yesterday, figuring he'd just let me wake up on my own. When I was still sound asleep at 11:30 AM he gave up on that plan and came up to wake me, as it seemed likely that 13 and a half hours was probably more than enough. Goodness knows how long I would have slept.

Visiting Dad and Step-mom's house for the holidays. They've got extended family under one roof, including my step-sister, her husband, and their two kids.

We attached the laptop to the TV to show the kids World of Warcraft. Much fun was had by all. At least for the duration of a 5 year old's attention span.

Myzithra earned some preserved holly from a quest that turned her regular mount into a reindeer. Used on her flying mount, it had a delightful result!
